Well Hello Everyone! First off I want to say that I am so sorry for not being on here for a long time and blogging. I believe the last time that I blogged was either in March or April. I know it has been a long time since I have talked to all of you. So much as happened within the past couple months for me. In April I was apart of the Cedar Rapids Kirkwood Dance Marathon. I was so blessed to be apart of such a great cause and not only being able to do something good for the families, I was able to get to know the kids that were going through all of the treatment. I loved being apart of the Dance Marathon because just for that day it was all about the kids having a great time. It was all about how much they were willing to let themselves go. We got to see the kids dancing, singing, and smiling all day and it was a great feeling because we didn't want them to think about the fact that they would have to go back to the Hospital on Monday for treatment. I got so many pictures with all of the kids and the best of my night was being able to see how much money we raised that night. We raised over $26,000. It was such a blessing to know we did something great for the awesome kids. Praise the Lord for everything he has done for each of us and I thank him so much for this experience and I cant wait till next year!
In the past couple months It has been crazy for me with school ending and my job up here in Cedar Rapids. I worked so much over the summer in Cedar Rapids, Back home in Wellman and of course at the farm. I was able to get lots of bonding time with my co workers and I was very thankful I gained a couple more friendships with everyone during the Summer. I feel so blessed knowing God has blessed me with two jobs and knowing I do a great job at them. With all of that being said it was nice making some extra cash, but when school came around it felt like a lot of that hard work went straight to school supplies and other things that I needed to get. Another school year has started already and I am feeling over whelmed already and I am only in the second week of school. I know it is going to be a great year for me because I have some great teachers that seem like they are very caring and they are more than willing to help me out in anything that I need. I think the best part of school is knowing that I do not have to drive anywhere because my apartment is 5 minutes away from campus so I can walk everyday which is a money saver. One thing that I love about a new school year is meeting so many new people.
I am involved in a youth group up here at school with so many other college kids and I think its awesome being able to not be afraid of showing how much I love the lord. I love that I am not afraid to talk about everything that God has done for each and everyone of us. I feel blessed knowing that I have a great relationship with the God and knowing that I can always come to him for anything which is awesome. Another thing that I feel like God blessed me with is being able to talk to other girls about having a relationship with the lord and always knowing that I can be there for them to talk to them about anything. I love giving advice to girls. I love helping as many girls as I can. This past year has been amazing for me.
The last thing I thought I would share with you all is that in less than two months I am getting baptized in October and I am so excited. I cant wait till the day finally comes and I will be able to share my story with so many people. I have waited for this moment since May and I cant believe the day is almost here. Well alright everyone, I have loads of homework and quizes to study for so I will be back sometime soon hopefully. Always remember that God is good all the time and all the time God is good. Thank you all for reading this!
Much Love, Carolyn :)
